The recent storms have proven quite the challange with all the little guys on the farm. The dogs are well even though Sadie our old red heller that is so stubborn and mean to her mates is not fareing as well as I wish. Old age and arthritis with temperatures colder than she has seen her whole life are making her a bit old looking and slow moving. I guess if I was 11ish (77) I wouldn't do so well either.
The goats and sheep are all doing well. Owen(snuggles) is starving. He eats every left over morsal he can find and if he still isn't full welll he can let ya know. The other three just float through life like its no big deal.
The ducks (The girls I call them) love the sun but this cold if not for the birds. They want in their house and out of it all. Hang on girls warm weather next week. Yeah for all of us. Sebastian even had me carry her yesterday to the pen because the snow is too cold.
The bunnies are all good. So far no one has had trouble. We run their heaters in the evening and even though the dry vent in the garage is a pain in the summer time is sure is great for winter bun warming. Babies are due this next week. We are ready. I just hope the weather is warmer the next couple weeks til we get the babies grown a bit. Cross your fingers all the moms are first timers so I hope they all do well.
Guess I best go.
Till next time stay warm and keep dry.
